August in Snowdonia

The late August bank holiday weekend was the perfect opportunity to visit a place we wanted to see since we moved to the UK, Snowdonia National Park. Chrissa, Shoyeb, Dory and I were in one car and Sarah and Lizzie in the other. Michael took a train up and joined us the next day. We rented out a beautiful stone build cottage in the countryside and first thing in the morning went to Zipworld, the fastest zip wire in the world and the longest in Europe. After we flew over the slate quarry we drove to the nearby Fforest Coaster, also by Zipworld and rode the super fun carts through the woods. While at the cottage we passed our time by cooking, eating, drinking and playing games. On day two we started early in the morning to climb the second highest peak of the UK, Mount Snowdon. It was a truly (and literally) breathtaking experience and we enjoyed every second all the way to the top and back down. We also tried to explore as many nice villages we could find. Some of these were, Llanwrst, Portmeiron and Caernarfon. On our drive back to London we stopped by Swallow falls and Pontcysyllte Aquaduct. Big thanks to Sarah for organise it!
